The 'Approvals and Landfill Site Management' section is responsible for operating AGR's active landfill sites – in particular the Emscherbruch central landfill site in Gelsenkirchen and the special waste site in Hünxe-Schermbeck. Both landfill sites are classified as Class III sites by landfill site regulations, with a residual operating life of approx. 20 – 25 years.
In addition the section is, as an internal service provider, responsible for supporting all the AGR mbH locations in terms of approvals legislation, which includes among other aspects the procedure of obtaining the required permits.
